My research is focused on hearing, with a special interest in time: the temporal structure of sound and sound scenes, and the neural bases of their perception.
Current projects include investigations of perceptual bistability in the auditory and visual modalities, music perception with cochlear implants, recognition of natural sound sources, computational models of hearing based on spike timing information, comparisons of auditory change detection and visual change blindness, etc...

This is where I teach: master de sciences cognitives, master Atiam, master IMA. I also do some consulting work for Advanced Bionics.
I co-organised an edition of the International Symposium on Hearing, ISH2003. The book that came out of it, 'Auditory Signal Processing: Physiology, Psychoacoustics and Models', is available from Springer, Amazon or even google books.
My PhD thesis was about roughness perception and musical consonance/dissonance.
