A guide to the AlphaPsy Bibliography
Alphapsy promotes an enlightened research in Evolution, Cognition and Culture. We signal those papers that fulfill our criteria of interdisciplinarity, in the following way: each paper has three marks: one for Evolution[ε], one for Cognition [ψ], and one for Culture[α]) :
- 1 [black] = the author does not mention this domain, or his contribution is trivial. Examples : « emotions are a product of Evolution »,« monkeys think with their brain »,« norms are culturaally transmitted »
- 2 [blue] = the author uses up to date knowledge and theories, controversial or not, in the relevant domain Examples :« anger is an example of costly signaling… »,« Bonobos'Theory of Mind allows them to… »,« punishment among contemporary hunter-gatherers is a means of… »)
- 3 [red] =The paper makes a significant contribution to the relevant domain. Examples : « cooperation stabilizes through punishment »,«Bonobos do not have a Theory of Mind »,« A face-detection module explain the stabilizing of make-up»
This bibliography is constantly completed and updated; some important pieces of work are not mentioned, not because we dislike them, but simply because we only cite papers that we have read. As a consequence, this bibliography is necessarily limited. You are welcome to send papers or edit the page concerning your favorite field of research!
